#1: You’ve got a home number,
so when should you call someone back to schedule a first date? You should wait a
few days. Don’t be in a hurry and call that same day or the next. You need
some time for the person to build anticipation. Not only does this help to add
to your “book value”, but it gives you some time to get organized when you
call. Tip
#2:
How long is too long to wait before making that call? Different people
have different expectations. However, if you haven’t called back – at least
to say “hello” within the first couple of weeks after getting a number –
you’ve waited too long. The person you’re calling has probably forgotten
about you by now. If you can’t open up some time in your schedule to meet this
person, at least call to say so. Simply explain that you’ve been busy and will
call to schedule something as soon as you can. Tip
#3:
If you’re on the receiving end of that call
– be flexible. If you can’t make the proposed date and time, suggest
another. Everyone is busy and it’s sometimes very difficult to coordinate
schedules. But, failure cannot cope with persistence! HumorA
blonde and a guy were out on a date and they ended up at “Lovers' Cove”
where they were making out. The guy thought that things were going pretty good
and maybe he would get lucky tonight, so he thought that he would ask her if she
wanted to go in the back seat. “NO!”
yelled the blonde. The guy just figured that she wasn't ready yet. Things got
pretty hot and the guy thought he would try again. “NO!”
the blonde yelled again. Things
got even hotter and by now the windows were completely fogged up. “Do
you wanna go in the back seat yet?” asked the guy. “For
the last time, NO!” said the blonde. Frustrated,
the guy asked, “Well, why the hell not?” The
blonde looked at him and said, “Because I wanna stay up here with you.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Confucius
